LANGUAGE ARTS Lesson Plans for Week of May 12th--May16th, 2014 ****Rough draft of research paper essay due on Monday, May 12th if possible (lots going on this past weekend, I realize) ****Final Exam on Monday, May 19th (will not be cumulative for the year nor for the semester). A study guide will be handed out this week. ****Help Session for the final exam will be held this Thursday morning at 7:45 a.m. in room 607. Monday, May 12th: STAR Reading Testing for all of my classes in the computer lab. If we have extra time while we are there, students may work on their research papers. Homework: Get rough draft of research paper completed and turned into me for editing by tomorrow at the latest.
Tuesday, May 13th: 1) Sponge--Classes 1, 2, & 5--Paragraphs & Main Ideas Classes 4 & 6--Analogies 2) Turn in rough draft of research paper 3) Reading & discussion of class novels: (Classes 1, 2, & 5--Things Not Seen; 4th Period--CodeTalker; 6th Period--Theodore Boone, Kid Lawyer) Homework: Some students will be ready to type or write their final draft of their research paper
Wednesday, May 14th: 1) Sponge--Classes 1, 2, & 5--Deleting sentences that don't belong in a paragraph based on the topic Classes 4 & 6--Analogies 2) Pass back edited rough drafts 3) Class Novels--Reading & Discussion Homework: Type or hand write in blue or black ink the final draft of research paper essay to turn in tomorrow
Thursday, May 15th: 1) Sponge--Classes 1, 2, & 5--Inferences Classes 4 & 6--Analogies 2) Turn in final copy of research essay 3) Pass out study guide for final exam & go over it in class 4) If time, class novels--reading & discussion Homework: Any research papers that haven't been turned in yet
Friday, May 16th: 1) Sponge--Classes 1, 2, & 5--Point of View Classes 4 & 6--Mood & Tone 2) Review for final exam Homework: Study for final exam which is Monday
